US Astronaut Meets Haifa Students
US Astronaut Meets Haifa Students
On a February visit to MadaTech,
US Astronaut William McArthur shared his space experiences with 200 Jewish and Arab students.
McArthur described his four space flights and half-year aboard the International Space Station, to which he was launched on Soyuz TMA-7. Students were curious to hear about day-to-day life in space and special tasks both in space and in preparation for flights.
McArthur encouraged them to invest in science studies, recounting that his preparation for a career as an astronaut began by excelling in high school math and science.
